Why does Vinna track open rates? Doesn’t that hurt deliverability?

This question is about whether tracking open rates negatively impacts email deliverability.

No, it does not harm deliverability any more than the GIF itself does.

Most email tracking works by embedding a small 1x1 pixel image in the email, which gets logged when opened.

Vinna uses the same method but leverages the existing image or GIF in your email, meaning we can track opens without adding an extra tracking pixel.

We track it because we can, and it’s a useful metric for you to measure engagement.
